Every 2 weeks, we’ll share what our visitor accommodation registration team has been working on as we build the new service for visitor accommodation providers to register with the WRA.  

The team works in 2-week sprints, where we focus on achieving a specific goal. This approach allows us to continuously improve the service and adapt our plans based on what we learn along the way.

The Welsh Revenue Authority (WRA) is creating a new online registration service for all visitor accommodation providers who operate in Wales. The Visitor Accommodation (Register and Levy) (Wales) Act became law in September 2025. From autumn 2026, anyone who charges visitors for overnight stays in Wales will need to register with us.
